Seth Jesper Wingren föddes 22/12 1870 i Sölvesborg, död 27/5 1959 i Wiscasset, Lincoln County (Lincoln), Maine, USA
Masonic lodge in MaineHi Ingrid, Here is a link to the Masonic lodge in Maine. I think the first section gives a little history. I know that grandpa was a 32nd degree Mason (highest level I think). I'm still looking into this. So far what I've found is that Seth never married. Each time he was listed on the census here, 1920, 1930, he was single. In 1920 he was listed as a fisherman, was 49 yrs old. He owned his own home and was free of any mortgage. He got his naturalization in 1904. He came over from Liverpool, England March 27, 1902 on the ship Oceanic. (There are pictures online of the ship.) He was 32 when he left, single, laborer, paid for passage himself, had about $20.00 at the time, was not meeting any family in the United States. In the 1930 census he was still head of household but renting at the time. Still single and was listed as a store keeper in the fishing industry. It listed his parents as being Swedish but doesn't give the names. Then in 1940 he was 69, he's a lodger living in someone else's house (probably same place from 1930), still single, worked 65 hrs/wk as the proprietor of a fish market. I've seen pictures of his grave but I haven't found an obituary yet. love, Debbie Mail från Ingrid Wingrens vän i USA som hjälper oss ta fram fakta om Seth. 2015-02-13 /Sven och Ingrid Wingren Frimurarnas loge i MaineHär är en länk till frimurarnas loge i Maine.
